Miles Meyer, MSc

Achievements and Experience

Miles has been researching his family history and teaching others how to research their families for over 25 years. His interest in family history started when he did a 3rd grade project researching his 4 generations on a mimeographed pedigree chart. Many years later, he discovered that assignment in a box of papers that his parents packaged up when he moved away from home to attend college. Miles decided to see if he could find additional information and fill it out a bit more.  His personal research focuses on a small area of Ohio and a small area in Germany. Miles has up to 14 generations documented on several family lines.

Miles' educational background is in science with Bachelors Degrees in Biology and Marine Science and a Masters Degree in Marine Science. He has been an adjunct professor and has worked with people of all ages. He is in the process of working on a degree in Genealogy with specialties in Methodology, American and German Research. His expertise revolves around new technologies, internet research and FamilySearch. Miles is a Family History Consultant, and current Director of the Vero Beach Florida FamilySearch Center. He is also the Director of Education for The Family History Guide (www.thefhguide.com).
